1. Who We Are
LinkGuard ("we", "our", or "us") is an automated backlink monitoring service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service at linkguard.gotglobal.workers.dev.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you sign in:
- Name — from your Google or GitHub account
- Email address — from your Google or GitHub account (if public)
- Profile picture — from your Google or GitHub account
- GitHub or Google account ID — to uniquely identify you
We also store the URLs and configurations you add to the service (monitored links, folders, anchor text).
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the LinkGuard service
- To authenticate you securely via GitHub or Google OAuth
- To associate your monitored links with your account
- To send you alerts about link status changes (future feature)
4. Cookies & Sessions
We use a single HTTP-only, secure session cookie (session_id) to keep you logged in. This cookie is never accessible via JavaScript and expires after 30 days. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.
5. Third-Party Services
- GitHub OAuth — used for authentication. We only request your public profile and optional email.
- Google OAuth — used for authentication. We only request your name, email, and profile picture.
- Cloudflare — our infrastructure provider. Data is stored on Cloudflare D1 (SQLite) and processed on Cloudflare Workers.
We do not sell your data to any third party.
6. Data Storage & Security
All data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure with industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Your session cookie is marked HttpOnly and Secure. We do not store OAuth tokens long-term.
7. Your Rights
- Access — you can view all your data in your dashboard
- Deletion — email us and we will permanently delete your account and all associated data within 30 days
- Portability — your link data may be exported on request
8. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, all data is removed within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
LinkGuard is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email if we have your address on file. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance.
